Friday 10th July 2026 Sussex Alerts - Lewes and Seahaven Police
Dear Residents,
Please find below that latest Sussex Alerts from Lewes and Seahaven Police.
Drink and drug drive checks during the World Cup
As part of our World Cup road safety campaign, police are carrying out roadside checks and providing road safety advice to help keep roads safe. Large sporting events often lead to increased social gatherings where alcohol and drugs may be consumed, bringing a greater risk of drink and drug driving.
The campaign aims to deter impaired driving, raise awareness of the dangers, and help prevent serious collisions during and after matches.
If you know someone is driving while over the limit or after taking drugs, call 999.
You can also contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
